Things to Do

Friday

People who are in town on Friday can join us for dinner in Mill Valley. We are planning to BBQ at the house Joe's parents are renting. This will be an opportunity for out-of-towners and family members to get to know each other.

Address: 207 Gibson, Mill Valley

Saturday

Wedding at The Unitarian Universalist Congregation Church of Marin in San Rafael starting at 3 p.m.. For more details on how to get there check here.

Sunday

People who stay a little longer can join us for a hike on Mt. Tam from the Amphitheatre to the West Point Inn. This is an easy 1 1/2 hour hike with amazing views of the Bay. We'll stop at the West Point Inn for lemonade and a picnic.

San Francisco

There is so much to see in San Francisco. You could visit Union Square for shopping, Chinatown to see the largest Chinatown in the world, the Financial District with its skyscrapers, the Ferry Building for amazing views of the Bay Bridge and a large food market, the former counterculture quarter of Haight Ashbury, and if you absolutely must, touristy Fisherman's Wharf (just don't tell us about it).

Favorite places to eat in San Francisco:

  • Chinatown: House of Nanking
  • Downtown: Salt House, Jeanty at Jacks, the Ferry Building (lots of options including Vietnamese at Slanted Door and fresh oysters at Hog Island Oyster Farm)
  • Fisherman's Wharf: California's original In 'n' Out Burger, Boudin Bakery for a San Francisco classic clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl
  • Near Courtyard Marriott SF: Osha (Thai), Pazzia (Italian)
  • Haight Ashbury: Cha Cha Cha (Carribean Tapas)
